A mysterious looking helicopter has been hovering over the East Devon area today (November 27) raising suspicions.

Eagle-eyed witnesses have even reported spotting a camera onboard the aircraft.

The Osprey60 aircraft is owned and operated by PDG Aviation, a chopper charter company who carry out, aircraft charters, aerial crane, aerial film and aerial surveying.

A spokesperson for PDG Aviation said: ”The helicopter is owned and operated by us and we are flying it on behalf of our client Network Rail.

”It is filming, but it is not filming people as such.

”It’s doing a LIDAR Survey, so it is filming using a special camera, for a type of survey.

”We will be in the Exeter area today, and we will be over Devon and Cornwall for a few days. ”
