Can you believe that 2020 is almost over?

New Year’s Eve is upon us and, as it seems much of the UK won’t be out getting merry thanks to our good friend coronavirus, we’re turning to the confines of our homes – and that square box in the living room – to help us celebrate the end of an extraordinary year.

One of our favourite Devonians, Josh Widdicombe, will be back on The Last Leg sofa (socially distanced) alongside Aussie comedian host Adam Hills and good pal Alex Brooker for a New Year’s Eve special.

With a line-up full of some of the finest comedians around and even live music to dance along to, it looks set to be an evening full of laughter and sing-song as we wave goodbye to this crazy year for good.

When is The Last Leg of the Year on TV?

The 2020 instalment of The Last Leg of the Year kicks off at 9pm on Channel 4 and runs all the way through until 11pm, giving you plenty of time for some supermarket nibbles and several top-ups of your chosen New Year tipple before the countdown begins.

What if I miss it?

If your New Year’s Eve plans mean you’ll likely miss out on the show in real-time, then don’t panic – you can always soothe your hangover with a few laughs on New Year’s Day by watching it on the channel’s online streaming service All 4, or even an hour later on Channel 4+1 (which would take you straight up to midnight).

Who might I see on tonight’s episode?

Guests set to appear on tonight’s show include comedians Tom Allen, Judi Love, Asim Chaudhry and James Acaster, as well as TV presenter Lorraine Kelly and BBC Radio 1 DJ and Strictly Come Dancing star Clara Amfo.

On top of this, there’ll be music from Alex Horne and The Horne Section.
