Two further coronavirus deaths have been reported at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital today.

NHS England confirmed that both deaths occurred on Saturday, November 28.

It brings the total number of patients who have died from Covid-19 at the RD&E to 79.

Across all the hospitals in Devon, there have now been 306 people who have died after testing positive for Coronavirus.

Latest data from NHS England confirmed 12 new deaths from Covid-19 were recorded across the whole of the South West.

Nationally, a further 183 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 40,588.

Patients were aged between 52 and 95 years old. All except three (aged 84 to 93 years old) had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 5 to 29 November 2020 with the majority being on or after 23 November.

Their families have been informed.
