Do you want to join a music department in a school with an ambitious musical programme? Music is a very popular subject at Emanuel, with large numbers of pupils involved in a wide range of activities. From the Glee Club to the chapel choir, we seek to involve and encourage wide participation, while stretching and challenging the most able musicians in the school.
We’re looking for two new members of the department to join us – one permanent and one on a one year, fixed term basis from September 2020. The role would suit a musician and teacher with the passion to build on the excellent current standards of music in the school. We welcome applications from NQTs and recent graduates, as well as those with longer experience. The ability to play the organ to a high standard would be desirable. Naturally we expect all staff to undertake a pastoral role as a form tutor and to get involved in the wider life of the school through its trips, cocurricular activities and outreach programmes.
