Job Description


Ensure the quality and consistency of analytic focus in the Global Commercial Development & Policy team within Commercial Operations. Play a pivotal role for Global forecasting, tracking and synthesizing competitive intelligence, conducting market research on new products. Collaborate with Region Business Units, with Global Brand Teams, and with R&D teams in the identification of new product priorities, analyzing market trends and assessing implications, and developing global long-range forecasts. Utilize business insights and sourcing data and market intelligence through purchases of syndicated reports and secondary data. The key deliverables will be the long-range forecast, annual/bi-annual competitive intelligence report, and ad hoc business cases. Work in a matrix approach within the organization and requires excellent communication and presentation skills. Work with senior management, developing templates and tools for market analytics (global market size, market shares) and forecasting. Responsible for development of templates to support and guide commercial operations teams across all geographies to forecast vaccine market dynamics from addressable doses to anticipated volumes / revenues by age segment, manufacturer, product presentation. Responsible for the development of tools including trainings and market report analysis to aid in market sizing by geography.


Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Statistics or related field and 2 years of experience in he offered position or related position or Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Statistics or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in the offered position or related position.


Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered.

Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time”. Required expertise/knowledge includes:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical and / or healthcare industry;
  • Working in analytics related function such as Market Intelligence or Sales/Marketing Analytics;
  • Analytic skills including forecasting and sales analysis;
  • Using pharmaceutical national and sub-national level prescription and sales data such as NPA, Xponent, DDD;
  • Analytical tools/languages including SQL/Teradata and SAS/Base SAS;
  • Dash boarding or reporting solution such as Tableau and Alteryx experience;
  • Handling and working on pharmaceutical transactional level patient claims data (big data); and
  • Knowledge of R or Python.
