Are you energetic and enthusiastic and bursting with ideas?

One person in five in the UK is affected by lung disease. As the only UK charity for people affected by all lung and respiratory diseases – from mild asthma through to lung cancer – the Asthma UK and British Lung Foundation Partnership is here for every one of them. We provide support, fund vital research, and campaign for better prevention, treatment and care.

An opportunity has arisen to join our high performing media team. Reporting to the Senior Media Officer, your role will be to deliver creative communications to enable the charity to deliver its organisational strategy in a cost effective and efficient way.

You will deliver an integrated social media and media relations service which generates both reactive and proactive opportunities and raises the profile of Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation. Responding promptly and authoritatively to media requests, you will proactively identify and maximise media and social media opportunities across a range of outlets and channels.

Interacting with colleagues at all levels and all teams across the organisation you will find this a great opportunity to develop your communications skills in a creative and energised workplace.

As well as a competitive salary, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits including our cycle-to-work scheme, interest-free annual season Travelcard loan, 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), pension scheme and much more.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an organisation committed to supporting everyone whose life is changed by lung disease.
