Graduate JVM and Functional Developers Needed – Remote Start – £35K+

The Company
This cutting-edge software development consultancy places graduates within investment banks to work as graduate software developers.
The Role
Upon joining, you will improve your development skills via the company’s regular in-house training days and via pair-programming training, where you will be paired with experienced developers and coached one-to-one.
You will work on exciting projects as part of a small team, with support from senior developers, creating brand new technology on a development consultancy basis for FinTech and pharmaceutical tech companies.
If you’re highly technical, have some level of JVM and functional programming experience and would like to find your way in FinTech, then this is the ideal role for you.
You will initially work remotely, but the company has offices in London and Milton Keynes, so it would be preferred if you can live a commutable distance from either of these locations in future.
Responsibilities

Full-stack software development with JVM technologies
Functional programming
Test-driven development
User interface design
Bug fixing

Requirements

2.1 level (or equivalent) or above in computer science or related
Experience with JVM technologies e.g. Java, Kotlin
Knowledge of functional programming is preferred
Test-driven development experience
Desire to be a developer in a fast-moving environment
Relevant work experience or personal projects e.g. hobby coding
