The Company
This company is a true leader in its field. They have been established since the 1970’s, providing automated analysis and testing tools for software applications on which people’s lives depend. They have a client base which spans a range of sectors including aerospace, defence, nuclear, medical and automotive. Their clients use the firm’s software to make sure that their systems are safe and compliant.
The Role
This is a great position for someone with software development experience and at least some knowledge of Linux, who is looking to utilise their skills in a client-facing role.
You will work closely with clients on a consultancy, training and support basis. This will involve travel from time-to-time, although much of the work is currently carried out remotely.
You will provide support to sales teams in both pre-sales and post-sales as part of the wider integration team. You will provide explanations and demonstrations of the products and services and you will integrate the company’s software with clients’ systems.
The role is highly technical and you will work on bespoke projects using a wide range of technologies. More than 50% of the role will involve coding, but you do not need to be well-versed in any particular language because the projects are so varied and it is unlikely you will have had directly relevant experience as a graduate. A high level of training is provided on the job, so this a fantastic opportunity to learn a variety of technical skills.
Requirements

You should have or be expecting a 2.1 from a technical degree (or equivalent); this can be IT focussed or engineering, maths or physics

You must have a good appreciation of OO programming (e.g. C, C++ or Java) and be a confident communicator

The role will involve travel and a driving license is required
