Medical communications agencies provide consultancy services to the pharmaceutical industry to help raise awareness of medicines via education and promotion. Essentially advising pharma companies on how best to educate and inform their customers about the benefits and risks of new and existing therapies.
Graduate Advertising Account Executive – Healthcare
Based in Berkshire, this growing company are a creative healthcare advertising agency, looking to hire two commercially-minded graduates with a passion for life science into an exciting and varied account executive role.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in a position which blends healthcare with marketing and advertising. You will gain exposure to working on international campaigns for a variety of pharmaceutical clients; delivering on a very wide range of projects. You will be mentored by senior members of the team and will have many opportunities long term for promotion as you develop.
Your role will be heavily involved in client management and understanding their brief, all the way through to project managing and liaising with core internal teams such as the copy writing and creative teams to deliver the campaign on time and to budget. There will be lots of opportunity to meet clients and help shape campaigns that truly make an impact in healthcare!
No experience is required, however a strong interest in healthcare advertising and medical communications is needed.
Your responsibilities as a graduate advertising account executive – £22-25K

Understanding a client’s strategic needs
Delivering on projects to an outstanding standard
Compiling a brief and liaising with the creation and copywriting teams to ensure it is met
Managing projects and acting as the face of the agency for your client
Ensuring that projects are on brief and in budget

What Do You Need?

2:1 or above in a life science or chemistry degree
Commercially minded graduate with a passion for getting product to market
Strong writing capabilities
Experience working with a pharmaceutical business is ideal but not essential
An interest in pharmaceutical advertising
Outstanding verbal communication skills
