Purpose of the role
This is a new and exciting role that will be instrumental in Lyfta’s continued growth and success. Working closely with the Co-CEO and the Director of Engagement, the Head of Marketing is responsible for marketing and activity which promotes take-up of our training offer and growth of our subscription base in the UK. The Head of Marketing will also work with the Helsinki team to support the marketing to schools in Finland.
This is the role for you if you…
Have demonstrable excellence in senior marketing roles (4+ years) ideally in a B2B setting for successful start-ups. Experience with leading marketing efforts in more than one language and/or geographical area is valued
Possess deep knowledge of a variety of marketing areas including, but not limited to brand, CRM, PPC, content and PR
Will strive to know Lyfta’s products inside and out, and, ideally, have a clear and practical understanding of the school environment and the sector more widely
Will thrive in a busy start-up environment comfortable with a mixture of hands-on delivery and high-level strategic responsibility
Have experience of leading an in-house marketing team and managing a network of service-providers for marketing delivery
Have proven strategic and creative thinking skills and experience of implementing successful, innovative marketing campaigns
Lead on the strategy for marketing, sales and all activities that deliver on Lyfta’s overall strategic plan for growth mainly within the UK education sector, but also in other geographical markets where Lyfta operates
Lead on the strategy and implementation of systems and processes which support the delivery of Lyfta’s strategic plan for marketing and sales, and continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of our work towards our aims
Report and advise on KPIs and ROI of marketing funnels and initiatives, to drive the sales and marketing strategies of the business effectively
Develop strong and effective internal and external relationships through appropriate communications, cross-team working and networking at all levels
Oversee the establishment, management and development of mutually beneficial relationships, stakeholders and partners to support the delivery of our marketing and sales strategy, ensuring high standards of collaboration and communication
Be a key and responsive point of contact and represent Lyfta at a senior level to the wide variety of people and organisations across the sector
Attend and contribute to relevant internal and external meetings and cross-departmental working groups as required
Lead on and implement the strategy for our website look and feel, content and SEO
Lead on and deliver the strategy for brand awareness and marketing collateral, including physical materials, and the look and feel for exhibition space at events
Develop and deliver promotional campaigns for training and events run by Lyfta
Develop and deliver marketing campaigns via email, social media and other relevant platforms, testing different approaches to marketing and finding the best practice and tools to drive traffic and generate sales
Coordinate UK-based events and actively seek out suitable conferences, events, PR opportunities, speaking engagements and awards to apply for
Work closely with the Engagement Team to produce blog posts, Lyfta case studies, promotional videos, and materials for events, the website, and other marketing opportunities
Excellent IT skills, including using Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint
Outstanding knowledge and experience of marketing, sales, SEO, segmentation, digital and multi-channel approaches
Confident communicator at all levels, with excellent collaborative people skills
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as Salesforce, Intercom and/or similar tools
Highly organised, able to prioritise workload around a diverse range of demands, working independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and reporting skills
