It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Exeter city centre – as festive snow domes and a huge tree arrive.

German Events Ltd and Princesshay Shopping Centre are launching ‘Snow House’, areas where people can enjoy seasonal food and drink.

Snow domes have been installed on Bedford Square, by Cafe Rouge, ready to open to the public on December 3.

In line with Tier 2 Covid rules around drinking with a meal, everyone who books a dome a free Bratwurst, Potato and Onion Platter.

On the Tier 2 restrictions, the organisers said: “Bookings are confirmed upon payment and includes the guaranteed Snow Dome, full table service for tour party and your choice of either a bottle of prosecco, 6 mulled wines or 6 Pints of Kozel lager. Simple confirm your choice with a member of staff on arrival.

“Snow Domes are available in 90-minute time slots, and are sanitised between each booking, should you wish to book for longer simply reserve the next time slot.”

They have also stated that guests will not be permitted to mix with other tables but not limited to approaching or sitting at other tables.

Visitors can expect a huge tree and food stalls throughout December

Along with this, guests will not be permitted to congregate pre or post-visit within any area of the Exeter Snow House.

The Snow Domes and food stalls will be open 7 days a week from 11am – 10pm. However, under 18’s are not permitted past 8pm.
