About the role
Reporting to the Senior Services Marketing Manager, the role will help achieve commercial targets through the promotion of an annual portfolio of national events and awards, including:

As the Event Marketing Executive, you’ll be working closely with the rest of the Marketing team as well as other key stakeholders and external supplier. The role is key to building the position of these events and awards within the industry by driving sales performance; covering planning, advertising, promotion, and evaluation.
Your specific responsibilities would include:
Plan, execute and evaluate annual marketing plans for CIBSE’s national events and awards
Develop engaging marketing copy to drive interest and raise awareness of events with clear USPs, features and benefits – targeted per audience segment
Identify data gaps and taking steps to close these including paid-for digital advertising
Work with the Digital Marketing Executive to create engaging marketing content including blogs, articles and infographics to complement the annual marketing plans
Work and coordinate plans with a selection of external suppliers to execute all event and award tasks to strict deadlines
Carry out post-event activity and analysis for each event and communicate debrief meeting to assist with continued product development
Brief in and manage all event design requirements, ensuring that marketing collateral meets brand guidelines
Report on current, past and projected performance against target KPIs on an ongoing basis and manage the marketing budget
Ensure all event and award content on the website is up to date and monitor visitor activity to identify trends and improve customer journeys.
Work with Membership Marketing to identify and maximise membership lead generation opportunities within campaigns
Work as part of the wider marketing team to share knowledge and best practice
The ideal candidate has…
At least a years’ experience working in a B2B event marketing role
Experience working with external designers and stakeholder partners
Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail
Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Experience with paid social media campaigns (eg. Twitter, LinkedIn & Facebook)
Good working knowledge of CMS and email marketing platforms
Experience using a bulk email system
A degree level or a professional marketing (CIM) qualification
Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and HTML
Good working knowledge of CRM databases (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft 365
