DevOps Engineer with DevOps, AWS, MySQL, Linux and automation/configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef or similar) is highly sought by a multiple award winning games studio based in Birmingham who are the UK’s largest privately owned mobile eGaming studio! We currently have just over 300+ employees here at our Birmingham HQ with our services offered across multiple platforms (web, mobile, tablet) with over 5mn+ registered customers here in the UK alone!

In this position, you will admin, deploy and maintain multiple MySQL clusters and servers, and create cloud formation templates to build AWS services that support our bespoke web application services and work collaboratively with our software engineers to deploy and operate our systems. You will help automate and streamline our operations and processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, testing and production environments.

You will work as our UK dedicated Database Admin, working closely with our IT and Backend Development teams whilst also liaising with our dedicated DevOps team in our International office in Bucharest.

Key skills we’re looking for…

Excellent background in admin, performance tuning, troubleshooting MySQL cluster databases.

AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Cloud Services expertise.

Experienced in automation/configuration management (using Ansible, Puppet, Chef or equivalent).

Excellent experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL also advantageous).

Bonus points for…

Strong background in Linux Administration.

Good understanding of coding and scripting languages (such as PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby).
