60 students isolating at Kingsbridge Community College after covid cases
A large proportion of students at Kingsbridge Community College are currently isolating after positive coronavirus cases have been confirmed within the school community.
Matthew Shanks, CEO Education South West, has confirmed that around 60 students are isolating after three separate people tested positive for covid-19 at Kingsbridge Community College (KCC).
Matthew Shanks said: ”Kingsbridge Community College has experienced three unconnected positive Covid-19 cases since September.
”We are in communication with Public Health England and the Department for Education about what steps we need to take in relation to positive cases and are constantly reviewing our risk assessments.
”Any actions that the school takes have to be in line with the advice which we receive from PHE.
”We very much appreciate the messages of thanks and support that our parents and carers have shown to the school.
”I would also like to publicly thank all the staff at Kingsbridge Community College and Education South West for all they are doing in order to keep schools open, whilst minimising risk, in order to support our children and our communities.”
