Police are at the scene of a two-vehicle crash near Barnstaple this evening.

The collision is believed to have happened by Lake Roundabout on the A361 and the roundabout is now closed, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are en-route to the scene, but it’s understood there have been no injuries sustained in the collision.

The Force Incident Manager for Devon and Cornwall Police, who oversees all live incidents across the region, has confirmed officers are at the scene.

He said: “We were called to an incident at Portmore on the A361 (Barnstaple).

“It’s a two-vehicle damage-only RTC [road traffic collision] and the roundabout is closed.

“Officers are at the scene and fire service are en-route.

“It’s damage-only, we don’t believe anyone has been injured.”
