The A30 is closed eastbound at Okehampton after a lorry shed its load of concrete boulders near to the Meldon junction.
According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, there is a jackknifed vehicle and shed load of concrete slabs from A386 (Sourton Cross) to B3260 Exeter Road (Okehampton Services).
The roads are experiencing a heavy build up of traffic through Okehampton as a result.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said they were called just after midday to reports of a lorry having shed its load of concrete boulder across the road on the A30 Eastbound at Okehampton.
